Notifications and using INTAYO offline
What reaches you, and what works without a connection.
A challenge lives on a deadline, so knowing when something needs you matters more here than in most apps.
What reaches you
INTAYO lets you know when a challenge needs you: an invitation, a counter-claim, new evidence, a decision, a debt of honour to settle or to confirm. On phones and desktops these arrive as system notifications; in the browser you will see them when you open INTAYO.
Put the deadline in your own calendar
Notifications tell you when something happened. A calendar entry tells you when something is *about* to. For any deadline further out than a few days, take it into your own calendar — an expired challenge costs both sides more than a defeat. See Deadlines.
Without a connection
INTAYO keeps working when the network does not. Your challenges stay readable on the device, and pages and images are held locally so the app opens instead of hanging.
What needs the network is anything that changes something for the other side: accepting, submitting evidence, confirming a result. Do that with a connection — and if something looks like it was saved but the other side never saw it, reconnect and check the challenge before assuming it went through.
If the app looks out of date
The device holds pages and images to stay quick, which occasionally means an older view survives a release. One reload replaces it.
If a notification does not arrive
Check that notifications are allowed for INTAYO in your device's own settings — that switch sits outside the app and overrides it. Anything beyond that is worth telling us: see Report a problem or suggest a feature.
